Nemo's Recovery Week: A Cone, a Cat, and Me
Nemo is my seven-year-old Bengal, and she has never been one to sit still. So when she had a small operation last month, the instruction to keep her calm for ten days felt like a joke. I brought her home to our place in Pak Kret, and she immediately tried to climb the bookshelf, the fridge, and then me.
Cage rest turned out to be the hardest part. I set up a quiet room with her favorite blanket, a window seat, and a few toys she could bat at from the bed. Keeping the cone on was the second challenge. She wore it with the expression of a tiny, very offended queen.
By the end of the week she had worked out how to nudge the cone sideways under the sofa and was back to chasing feather wands. Still, she is healthy, and I now know that a Bengal is not built for doing nothing.

Ten days of calm with a Bengal sounds like a real test, good luck to both of you.
