A Midnight Visit to the 24-Hour Animal Hospital
Ruby is a nine-year-old poodle, and last month she stopped eating in the middle of the night and started breathing heavily. We live in Pattaya, and I did not want to wait until morning, so I drove her to the 24-hour animal hospital on the main road.
The staff were calm and quick. They checked her over, asked me a lot of questions about what she had eaten that day, and kept her under observation for a few hours. My advice: write down the times and symptoms before you go, because you will forget half of them when you are worried.
It turned out to be nothing serious, just a rough night. She came home the next afternoon, slow and grumpy, and I was very relieved.
