Bean and the Rainy-Season Adventure
Bean is almost five and a Shih Tzu who believes rain is a personal insult. So when the sky opened up on our evening walk along Jomtien Beach Road last month, I expected him to refuse and head home. Instead he ran straight into a puddle, found a plastic bag blowing across the sand, and spent the next ten minutes trying to fight it.
By the time I caught up with him, he was soaked, muddy and very pleased with himself. The bag was stuck to one ear, and he had the look of a dog who had just won a championship. We walked home through the rain with him dripping and sneezing. 🐾
I've learned to bring a towel now. Bean has learned that puddles are fun, which is a lesson I didn't need to teach him.

We're going to try the puddle-and-plastic-bag routine on our walks this week, fingers crossed.

Did you use a raincoat for him or just let him get wet?

Don't worry about the hesitation on rainy walks, most dogs need a little time to warm up to the weather. Bean sounds like he has plenty of spirit once he decides to go.
