Zuzu Survives Bangkok's Hottest Week Yet
Bangkok in April is no joke! My Shih Tzu Zuzu is three and a half now, and he still acts like a puppy on the Sukhumvit sidewalks. I learned fast that the pavement can burn his little paws even at nine in the morning.
Now we walk only before sunrise or after dark. I bring a bottle of water and a collapsible bowl, and I press the back of my hand on the ground first. If it's too hot for my hand, it's too hot for Zuzu. He thanks me by sleeping under the aircon all afternoon!

Bangkok in April is brutal, and you handled it so well. Glad Zuzu made it through the hottest week in one piece.

We had the same paw-burning problem with our dog on the Nonthaburi sidewalks. Switching to early walks made the biggest difference for us too.

Zuzu is such a handsome guy! Your care really shows in the way you plan every walk around the heat.

Super useful for anyone with a Shih Tzu in this heat, thanks for writing it up.

Bangkok sidewalks in April are basically hot plates, and Zuzu is a brave little guy for still walking on them.
