Working From Home With a Very Opinionated Dog
When my company went fully remote, I expected quiet mornings in our Sukhumvit condo. Instead I got Espresso, my almost-four-year-old mixed breed, who treats every video call as an opportunity to stand directly in front of the camera. Last Tuesday she barked at a client's slide deck. I still do not know why.
She has also learned to recognize the click of my headset, and now she sits at my feet with a plush duck, waiting for the meeting to end so we can walk to the soi. Our compromise is a short walk at ten, a longer one at lunch, and a rule that she is not allowed on the keyboard, which she ignores every single day.
Honestly, she keeps me moving. I stand up more, drink more water, and I have never been so punctual about lunch.

That sounds like a lot of video call chaos. Espresso clearly wants to be part of every meeting, which is kind of sweet. Maybe give her a toy or a blanket spot before your calls start, and hopefully the mornings get calmer.
