Switching Latte to a Hypoallergenic Diet
Latte started scratching his belly and paws last spring. After a few visits to our vet near Ratchada, we learned he reacts to chicken. It took a while to figure out. We kept a simple log of what he ate and when the itching flared up.
The switch was gradual. Over about ten days we mixed the new food into the old, increasing the new portion slowly. Read labels carefully, because treats count too. Chicken was hiding in a couple of his training snacks.
Please talk to your vet before any diet change, since they know your dog. Latte is doing better now, and his coat looks shinier. This is just what worked for our little Shih Tzu.

A simple food diary, even just a notebook, helped a lot with our dog's food sensitivity. Writing things down made it much easier to spot what was causing the problem.

Seeing a pet scratch like that is so hard, especially when you don't know the cause at first. I'm glad Latte is doing better and that you stuck with figuring it out.
