Sakura and the First Month in a New Home

Sakura came to us from a rescue group in Nonthaburi three weeks ago, and my flat in Thonglor has never been so fluffy. He is a seven-year-old Persian with a face like an unhappy pancake and a strong opinion about every cushion we own. 😺

The first week he hid under the bed and refused to come out for anything except boiled chicken, which I now suspect was a bribe he was happy to accept. By week two he had claimed the sunny spot by the balcony door, and by week three he was sleeping on my laptop bag every morning.

I'm told rescue cats can take months to settle, so I am not in a hurry. Brushing him takes real patience, and yes, my black work trousers are covered in white hair now. Worth it.
