Looking After Buddy Like a Grandpa Cat at Three
Buddy is only three, which our vet says is not old at all, but he already acts like a grumpy grandpa. He is a Munchkin with short legs and very long opinions. I started him on a softer food routine and an extra water bowl near the window, and he has become quite particular about where he sleeps. Every evening he chooses a different warm spot, and every morning he complains about it.
We also take him to the vet a bit more often now, just to keep an eye on things. It is no trouble, and the staff know him by name.
He is still the first one to greet me at the door when I come home from work in Prawet. That is all I really need.

Thank you for writing this. I always feel guilty when my cat gets grumpy with age, and reading how you changed his routine is encouraging. The extra water bowl by the window is such a simple idea. Hope he keeps napping in that spot.

Munchkins with grumpy grandpa energy are the best. Buddy is lucky to have someone who notices small changes like the food and the water bowl. My budgie Lychee also gets cranky when his routine changes, so I know how much these little things matter. Hope the new routine keeps working for him.
