Flea and Tick Season with Jelly the Corgi 🐾
Jelly is a seven-and-a-half-year-old corgi, and I will be honest: I was not ready for how bad the fleas got in our Silom apartment this year! Scratching all night, tiny black specks on the sheets, the whole thing. My daughter found the first one on her ankle and we went into full panic mode.
So here is what worked for us, and I am genuinely excited to share it. We took Jelly to a vet clinic near Silom Road, got the spot-on treatment the vet recommended, and washed all her bedding on the hottest setting. We also vacuumed every day for two weeks, which felt ridiculous but made a big difference.
Tip number two: check her between the toes and behind the ears after every walk along the riverside path. Ticks love the long grass there! I now keep a tick removal tool in my bag and use it on the spot.
Anyway, Jelly is back to running around the lift lobby like nothing happened, and I am breathing easier. Ask your vet first, and do not wait for the scratching to start.

Washing bedding weekly and vacuuming under the furniture helped us a lot in our flea season. Checking with your vet before buying anything new is always the safest move.

Fleas are the worst, and corgis with fleas are a special kind of misery. Glad Jelly is doing better. Your honest take on the whole season helps a lot of owners.
