Kanom Is Going to a Photo Contest!

I can't stop smiling! Kanom, my five-year-old Maine Coon, has been entered in a cat photo contest in Bangkok, and I still can't believe it. He is huge, fluffy, and extremely dignified, so the pictures almost take themselves.

Getting the perfect shot took three weekends. We tried the balcony in morning light, the window seat in our Sukhumvit condo, and even the sofa cushions, which he approved of most. Kanom doesn't pose on command, but he sat still for one perfect minute when the sun hit his tail. Snap!

Entries close next Friday, and I'm nervous like a child. Whether he wins or not, he is already a star in our family. Wish us luck!
