Kai Tun Found a Tiny Kitten in the Drain!

This morning I was sweeping the front steps in Rawai when Kai Tun, my nine-year-old mixed-breed boy, suddenly started barking and digging at the drain grate. I thought it was a gecko! Then I heard a tiny meow from under the metal cover. The kitten was soaking wet and terrified, stuck about a foot down.
Kai Tun kept nudging the grate with his nose and whining until our neighbor came with a flashlight and a pair of pliers. We got the little one out and wrapped in a towel. Kai Tun gave him the proudest look I have ever seen on a dog.

We had a stray kitten in our drain once too, and it was such a relief when it finally came out. Glad your Kai Tun has such good ears.

Keeping it wrapped in a dry towel somewhere warm helped a lot when we found one. Then ask a local rescue group what to do next.
