Fluffy Makes Friends at the Sukhumvit Dog Park
Every Saturday morning, Fluffy and I walk over to the little dog run near our soi in Sukhumvit before the heat builds up. He is a nine-year-old mixed breed with one ear that stands up and one that refuses to, so he looks permanently confused about everything. Most of the regulars are much younger dogs who bounce around him like he is a fallen tree. He takes it with great dignity.
Last week a tiny poodle mix tried to climb onto his back, and Fluffy simply lay down in the grass and waited for her to get bored. She did. Now they are best friends, or at least they share a water bowl, which is a serious commitment for a dog his age.
