Butter's First Photo Contest at Four Months Old
Butter is four months old and already famous in our family group chat. I entered her in a local pet photo contest on a whim, mostly because she looked so fluffy in the afternoon light by the balcony. Shih Tzus are such show-offs, so I thought she had a chance.
Getting the shot was not easy. Butter kept trying to lick the camera lens and tripping over her own ears. In the end, the photo came from my twentieth try, when she was half asleep with a small toy under her chin. I was so excited that I shouted loud enough to scare the neighbors' cat!
Results come out next week. Whatever happens, she already won me over.

I entered my own dog in a small contest once and she sat for about two seconds before deciding the treat was more interesting. Good luck to Butter, she looks like a winner.
