Dogs and cats are welcome with prior notice. Dogs of most sizes, from small to large, are accommodated if declared at booking. Pets are allowed only in specific allocated bungalows and villas, which must be requested before arrival.

Pet fees depend on weight: about THB 300 per night for pets under 5 kg, and THB 500 per night for pets over 5 kg. A refundable room deposit, typically THB 1,000, is taken at check-in to cover possible damage.

Booking platforms specify one pet per room. To bring more than one small pet, contact the hotel directly. Pets may be refused on arrival if the designated bungalows are fully booked or if the resort was not told in advance.

Pets must be kept on a leash in public outdoor areas and are not allowed in the swimming pools. Owners should clean up after their pets, and use a pet stroller or wrap in restaurant areas.

Please follow the rules, be polite and considerate, and do not leave pets unattended unless you have agreed this in advance with the staff.

About

Flora i Talay Resort (ฟลอรา ไอ ทะเล รีสอร์ท) is a low-rise, eco-styled beachfront resort with rustic, terracotta-orange bungalows in an earth-tone, loft-style aesthetic.

The property runs from a garden interior down to the shoreline. Accommodation includes standalone garden bungalows, beachfront villas and family rooms, with air conditioning, private balconies or terraces, satellite TV and refrigerators.

Facilities include two outdoor swimming pools, one of them a children's pool, a full-service massage spa, a beachside restaurant serving Thai and Western cuisine, and a sunset beachfront bar.

Surroundings

The resort sits on a tranquil, swimmable stretch of Klong Prao Beach on the central west coast of the island. Convenience stores (Lotus's Go Fresh and 7-Eleven), street-food stalls and local seafood restaurants are within walking distance.

Famous landmarks nearby:

  • Klong Prao Beach (directly in front of the resort).
  • Klong Plu Waterfall (about 3.5 km), inside Mu Ko Chang National Park.
  • Chai Chet Cape and Viewpoint (about 1.5 km north).
  • Pearl Beach (Hat Kai Mook) (about 2.5 km).
  • White Sand Beach (Hat Sai Khao) (about 5 km north).

Getting there

To reach Trat by air, fly from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Trat Airport (TDX) with Bangkok Airways, then take an airport transfer van to the pier. By car or bus, take Route 344 or Sukhumvit Road (Highway 3) from Bangkok (Ekkamai or Mo Chit), about 4.5 to 5.5 hours to the ferry piers in Laem Ngop.

Board a car or passenger ferry at Ao Thammachat Pier, which runs every 30 to 45 minutes, to Ao Sapparot Pier on Koh Chang. The crossing takes about 30 to 45 minutes.

From Ao Sapparot Pier, turn right onto the main island road and head south past White Sand Beach and Chai Chet toward Klong Prao Beach, about 12 to 14 km, roughly 20 minutes by car or songthaew. The entrance is signposted on the seaside of the road.

Free self-parking is available on site for registered guests, though spaces are limited during peak seasons.
