The Hip Resort @ Khao Lak is a quiet, Thai-contemporary boutique resort with 15 standalone units. Eleven are raised Thai-style villas, and four are villas with private plunge pools.

Units have air conditioning, private balconies or patios, refrigerators, kitchenettes, flat-screen TVs and outdoor seating. The resort has an outdoor pool, gardens, barbecue and picnic areas, free Wi-Fi and complimentary bicycles for guests.

Guests can share the facilities of the adjoining ThaiLife Homestay Resort & Spa, including its spa and wellness centre, extra swimming pools and lake-view restaurant.

The resort is in a tranquil rural seaside setting at Bang Muang and Baan Nam Kem, away from the commercial bustle of central Khao Lak.

Getting there

The resort is at Bang Muang, Baan Nam Kem and Takua Pa, Phang Nga 82190. From Phuket International Airport (HKT) it is about 75–81 km north, roughly 75–90 minutes by car. Drive north on Route 402 across the Sarasin Bridge into Phang Nga, then continue north on Route 4 (Phetkasem Road) through Khao Lak towards Takua Pa and Bang Muang.

From Surat Thani Airport (URT) it is about 100–110 km east, roughly 1.5–2 hours by car via Route 401 across Khao Sok towards Takua Pa. Pre-arranged resort transfers, airport taxis, private minivans and rental cars are all options. Free private parking is on site, with no reservation required.
