El Pillax Lanta Resort

El Pillax Lanta Resort (also marketed as El Pillax Club Beach) is an intimate beachfront boutique resort built in 2017 and since renovated.

It has roughly 12 to 15 rooms and bungalows with pool, garden or sea views. On site are an outdoor beachfront swimming pool overlooking the Andaman Sea, a beachfront restaurant, bar and beach club serving Thai dishes, grilled seafood, burgers and cocktails, sun terraces, a landscaped garden, spa and massage services and a tour desk.

The resort sits directly on the mid-island stretch of Klong Khong Beach, known for its laid-back atmosphere, sunset views, beach bars, cafés and massage huts.

• Lanta Animal Welfare (about 2.6 km): an animal rescue centre.
• Long Beach (Phra Ae) (about 3.5–5 km north): a long beach with restaurants and bars.
• Klong Nin Beach (about 3.5–4.5 km south): a popular beach.
• Khao Mai Kaew Cave (about 5.5 km south): a cave to explore.
• Mu Ko Lanta National Park (about 20 km south): park and lighthouse at the southern tip.

Fly into Krabi International Airport, then take a private taxi or shared minivan to Ko Lanta, about 1.5–2 hours including the short car ferry crossing. Passenger ferries and speedboats from Krabi Town, Ao Nang or Phuket arrive at Saladan Pier in the north of the island.

From the pier, a tuk-tuk, taxi or rental vehicle follows Route 4245 south for about 10–13 km (15–20 minutes) to Klong Khong Beach. Free self-parking is available on site.
