Skillcenter Chiang Mai

Skillcenter Chiang Mai, also registered as Equestrian Education Center Chiang Mai Co., Ltd., is a riding academy and non-profit equine-assisted therapy center. Horses are its primary focus. It also trains young people from disadvantaged backgrounds as stable hands through a vocational groom program.

Riding lessons cover English-style riding, natural horsemanship, correct seat and balance, flatwork and dressage, vaulting, lunging and show jumping. Lessons run from beginner to advanced for children, juniors and adults, including a 20-minute bareback Junior Rider program, private lessons and group lessons, taught in English, German and Thai. Polo is not offered. Horse boarding with full daily care and turnout is available. There are coach and carriage rides on site, and guided countryside hacks during visiting events.

Facilities include outdoor sand riding arenas, lunging rings, stables and grass turnout paddocks, and a café and bistro (SCC Bistro) serving snacks, baked goods, coffee and refreshments on visiting days and at community events. The center keeps child-friendly ponies and trained full-size horses. The lakeside grounds host seasonal events. Overnight accommodation is not provided.

About 15 to 20 km from the city center, roughly a 25 to 35 minute drive from Chiang Mai Old City or Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX).
