The First Month With Nong, My Hairless Rescue Cat 🐱

Nong came to us from a rescue centre in Pattaya when she was about three and a half, and she is a Sphynx, which means she has almost no fur and a lot of wrinkles. The first week, she hid under the bed and only came out at night to eat. I was worried she would never settle, but I learned to leave her alone and let her come to me.

Skin care is part of her routine now. She gets a soft, warm towel after bath time, and we keep the flat at a comfortable temperature so she is not cold. We also keep a blanket on her favourite chair, because she likes to sit where the sun comes in through the window.

By the end of the month she was sleeping on my lap. It took patience, but it was worth every minute. 🐱
