Oscar Was a Street Dog Who Needed Time to Trust
Chloe HallI still think about the first night Oscar came home. He was a scruffy mixed breed who had spent who knows how long near the temple gates in the Old City, flinching whenever anyone raised a hand. A friend who volunteers with a small rescue group had found him with a cut on his ear and asked if I could foster him for a week. That week turned into the rest of his life, and I am not sorry for a second.
Now he is nine and greys a little more every winter. He still sits by the door at six o'clock, waiting for the walk he has decided is his right. Looking back, the hardest part was not the vet bills or the training. It was learning that he needed time to trust, and that trust cannot be forced. Every stray deserves a bit of patience, I think. Oscar taught me that the slow approach is often the kind one.

Oscar's story made me tear up a little. The way you describe him flinching at a raised hand and slowly learning to trust is so tender. You gave him time instead of pushing, and that really shows. Thank you for telling it so honestly.

เราเคยพาแมวไปหาหมอที่กลุ่มช่วยเหลือแถวบางพลีแล้วได้คำแนะนำดีมาก ทำให้เลือกทางได้ถูก ร้านไหนที่มีที่ให้น้องค่อยๆ ปรับตัวก็ช่วยได้เยอะเลยค่ะ

อ่านแล้วนึกถึงตอนที่เราพาน้องไปหาหมอครั้งแรก เราเลือกคลินิกที่หมอใจเย็นและมีที่ให้น้องได้ตั้งตัวก่อนตรวจ มันช่วยให้น้องไม่เครียดมากเลย ถ้าใครกำลังหาอยู่ลองถามคนเลี้ยงในกลุ่มแถวบ้านดูนะคะ มักจะได้ที่ดีๆ
