Nala Bounced Back Faster Than the Vet Expected
Last month our Khao Manee boy Nala had a small lump removed from his left side, and I was a nervous wreck all day. The clinic near my condo in Ratchada said he would need a cone and ten days of rest. Nala absolutely hated that cone. He kept bumping into the fridge and the door frame, and honestly I was laughing and worrying at the same time.
What really helped was setting up a quiet room with the AC at a steady temperature, a soft mat, and his water bowl within reach so he did not have to walk far. Every evening I checked the stitches with a flashlight and kept him away from the balcony, because he loves jumping up there.
By day five he was already demanding his favorite treats and chasing the shadow of the ceiling fan. By day ten he was climbing the bookshelf like nothing had ever happened. If your cat is recovering from surgery, be patient and keep the routine calm. Sending good luck to everyone's kitties!
