Moji and the Flooded Soi
Rainy season in Bang Khae is unpredictable. Moji is a 1.1-year-old Corgi with short legs and a big heart, and she assumes every puddle is a swimming pool. Last Tuesday a sudden downpour turned our soi into a shallow canal, and she insisted on her evening walk anyway.
Some practical notes if you're in the same spot: keep a towel by the door, rinse paws straight away to avoid sore pads, and check for debris before she licks anything. Keep her leash short where the water is fast, because the drains can be stronger than they look.
We ended up wading to the corner shop for a snack, and she came home soaked and very proud of herself.

โมจิน่ารักมากเลยค่ะ ขาสั้นแต่กล้าลุยน้ำแบบนี้ เก่งมาก ดัมที่บ้านก็ชอบเดินเล่นตอนฝนหยุดเหมือนกันค่ะ

We had a similar scare with Mame during a storm last year. She refused to go outside for days afterward and just sat by the window. It took a few weeks before she trusted the street again, so I hope Moji bounces back to her puddle-jumping self soon.

Hope she's dry and happy now, a shallow canal is a rough way to end an evening walk. Mint would have refused to go a single step if I'd dragged her through that.
