Max Is Only Three, But We Started Senior Care Early

Max is a three-year-old mixed breed dog with more energy than most puppies I know. Our vet in Kathu said that many dogs start slowing down earlier than we expect, so we already started a senior routine, and honestly I'm excited about it.

We switched him to a diet our vet recommended, shortened his evening walks, and bought a ramp for the sofa so he doesn't leap off it on his own. He pretends he doesn't need the ramp. Every Sunday we give his legs a gentle massage and check his teeth while he gets treats.

The best part is seeing him still chase seagulls on Kata beach every morning like a puppy. Senior care is turning out to be mostly extra cuddles, and Max is fine with that.
