Fostering Finn for a Rescue Group
When our rescue group asked if someone could foster a little Winter White hamster for a few weeks, I said yes before I even thought about it. Finn arrived in a plastic box with a bit of bedding and a very suspicious expression.
He is three years old, which is quite a senior for a hamster, so the vet asked us to keep his cage in a quiet corner away from the air con. Our Bang Kapi flat is small, but he has settled into the bookshelf like it was built for him.
Every evening I give him a few sunflower seeds and watch him stuff his cheeks until he looks like a tiny round ball. He is not a cuddly hamster, but he now lets me stroke his back while he eats. That is more than I expected.
If you have some space and patience, consider fostering too. The group always needs people.

ハムスターは暑さに弱いので、ケージは直射日光の当たらない涼しい場所に置くと安心ですよ。新しい環境に慣れるまでは無理に触らず、数日そっとしておくのがおすすめです。

Our first hamster was just as suspicious of his box for the first week, so I feel this.
