Finding a Pet Sitter for Prada Before My Trip
Prada and I had our first trip apart last month, and finding a pet sitter was honestly harder than planning the trip itself. My Thai Ridgeback is a princess who only eats chicken breast if the bowl sits in exactly the right corner of the kitchen. I interviewed three sitters from a neighbourhood group in Lat Phrao, and the first one spent the whole time talking about her own cats.
The second sitter sent me daily photos, which I loved, but Prada refused to eat in front of her. The third one, a quiet university student, walked Prada twice a day and even learned her sit trick in three days. I left a long checklist, a folder of vet numbers and a box of treats, and I still felt guilty the whole time I was at the airport. When I came back, Prada ignored me for ten minutes, then climbed onto my lap like nothing happened. Lesson learned: book the sitter before you book the flight!

Prada will be fine, she's clearly loved and that shows in how carefully you planned it.
