Daisy's First Month With Us

Daisy has been home for one month now. He's a mixed-breed male we brought in from a shelter near Bang Na, and I thought we'd settle in quickly. It took him over a week just to walk into the living room without looking back at the door. Now he sleeps beside me, though he still barks at strangers in the lift. I've learned that getting to know each other slowly is worth more than rushing things.

    Sounds like a slow-burn kind of month, and that is fine. We found that a quiet corner with a soft bed helped our rescue cat Tong Tong settle much faster, so maybe it will work for Daisy too.
