Cheddar Finds His Dog Park Friends

Cheddar is almost two now, a Corgi with the body of a loaf of bread and the energy of a much larger dog. When we first moved to Ari, I didn't know anyone in the neighborhood and I was a bit lonely. The small dog park near the Ari BTS station turned out to be where things changed.

At first Cheddar was shy around the bigger dogs, barking at anything that came near and hiding behind my legs. Over the weeks he started running with a group of regulars, a Shiba and two Labradors, and they taught him how to play properly. Now he waits by the gate every morning, impatient to say hello.

I've met a few people too. We swap stories about our dogs, share water bottles, and sometimes grab coffee after. It's funny how a small patch of grass with a fence can make a city feel smaller.

I think Cheddar and I both needed that.

    チェダーくん、コーギーなのにパンみたいな体型って表現が面白すぎます（笑）。うちのオスカーも公園で新しい友達ができると、しばらく離れなくなるのでわかります。体はパンでも走る速さは大型犬並みなんですね。

    ย้ายมาที่ใหม่แล้วยังไม่มีใครรู้จักนี่เหงาจริงๆ เข้าใจเลยค่ะ เดี๋ยวก็คุ้นเอง แค่ได้ออกไปเจอคนและหมาใหม่ๆ ในสวนก็ทำให้ที่ใหม่รู้สึกเป็นบ้านได้เร็วขึ้นนะคะ

    ถ้าอยากให้น้องได้เพื่อนที่สวนหมา ลองไปช่วงเช้าหรือเย็นที่คนยังไม่เยอะก่อนก็ได้ค่ะ จะได้ค่อยๆ เจอกันทีละตัว ช่วงแรกนั่งดูอยู่ใกล้ๆ ไว้ก็ดี น้องบราวนี่ที่บ้านก็เรียนรู้แบบนี้เหมือนกันค่ะ
