Bambi and the Flea Season Scare

Bambi is a British Shorthair, just over a year old, and the most dignified cat in Sukhumvit until flea season arrived. I found one on his belly one evening and spent the next hour in a state of mild panic, checking everything.

My vet, who is patient and never seems rushed, walked me through what to do. She asked me to check with her before buying anything from the shop, because not every product is safe for cats. I also washed his bedding in hot water and kept an eye on the carpet near the window where he likes to nap. It's not glamorous, but it works.

Bambi has forgiven me for the spray bottle. Mostly.
