A Saturday at the pet fair with Rosie
I took Rosie, my six-month-old Domestic Shorthair, to a pet fair in Prawet last Saturday. It was crowded and noisy, so I wasn't sure it was a good idea, but she was curious and I wanted her to get used to new places early.
My advice for anyone planning the same: bring a small carrier with a blanket, keep your cat in it until you are inside, and avoid the stalls that play loud music. Some vendors let you pet the animals, but always ask first, and wash your hands after touching any animal.
Rosie hid under the carrier for the first half hour, then came out to watch the birds in a corner display. We bought a scratching post and some treats, and she was asleep on the drive home. I would go again, next time with a plan for a quieter time of day.
