Khao Tom is a red Thai Ridgeback who came from a farm outside Mae Rim, and he still believes every hill in Chiang Mai is his personal gym. He is quiet, athletic and weirdly polite with strangers, but he will dig up the entire garden in a single afternoon if I look away. After dinner he sleeps with his head on my slipper. Every. Single. Night.
