Dog
Kaew is a red and white Akita who came to us as a gift from a friend's litter. Big round head, curled tail and a very serious face. In Ayutthaya's heat he flops on the cool temple-style tiles of our porch and sleeps like a rug, but at sunset he wakes up and trots along the river with me. He is quiet, loyal and surprisingly gentle with the neighbours' kids.
